Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to register for class before coming, or can I just show up to the gym?

It’s best to sign up beforehand to guarantee your spot in class.  We recommend using the MindBody app on your phone to pay, sign up for and cancel out of classes if need be.

Do you offer yoga as part of the membership?

Yes! Our yoga classes are taught in our upstairs studio.  They are most definitely included in all of our membership options.

How far in advance can I register for a class?

Registration opens up 1 week in advance.

Can I join a waitlist?

You can sign up for a full class by joining the waitlist.  If someone cancels within the 12 hour window, and you get bumped into class but can’t make it – you will not be charged.  If you are bumped into class with more than 12 hours before class, regular cancellation policy applies.  You will get a notification via email and text if you are bumped into class from the waitlist.  Be sure to opt in to receive email and text notifications.

Does the 2 week pass/1 month unlimited pass start on the day I buy it?

No, unless you book a class the same day you buy the pass.  It activates on the day of the very first class you book with.  If you try to book a class on a day before the first class you booked, it won’t recognize your pass as activated yet and the system will ask you to purchase another pass.  Send us an email if you’d like to change your activation day.

How do I sign up for the auto-pay membership?

Yay! This membership is the best bang for your buck if you’re planning on attending 3 or more classes per week.  Send us an email to sign up.

What are the early cancel and late cancel windows?

You can cancel out of class up to 12 hours before the class start time without incurring a late     cancellation fee.  We charge a fee of $18 or a loss of one punch pass for cancelling within 12 hours of the class start time or not showing up to class.  We do this to allow enough time for the next person on the waitlist to get organized and make it to class.  Our class sizes are limited so we can ensure quality coaching and a great experience for you.  It’s a big bummer when the class is waitlisted, and there’s an empty space due to somebody no showing or late cancelling.  Don’t be that person.  Don’t do it.  If you’re sick send us an email beforehand and we’ll do our best to waive the fee and fill your spot.

On that note, how do I cancel myself out of class?

To cancel a class, you can log into the MindBody app and find Wild Life Gym.  From there tap profile –> tap schedule and from there you can view the classes you’re signed up for and choose to cancel a class.

What is the cancellation policy for private training + Athletic Team Training
?

Cancellations for private training sessions will be accepted up to 24 hours in advance.  Cancellations within 24 hours will result in a full charge of the session.
Any unpaid late cancel fees will be charge to your credit card on file.

Should I wear shoes or no shoes in the gym?

The choice is yours.  We see many benefits in lifting without shoes, as you get a chance to connect to and train your feet.  If you prefer shoes, that’s great too.  Shoes are recommended in the HIIT class as the agility ladder and hurdles are often used.  Please wear clean indoor shoes.  We recommend a minimal cushion flatter shoe.

Do you have showers?

Yes, we have two showers that you’re welcome to use.  Please bring your own towel.

Do your coaches offer modifications? What if I have this injury that’s been bugging me and I can’t lunge/squat/hang etc. Can I still come to class?

Yes!  Our coaches are skilled at offering different exercises that may be better for your body.  There are so many other movements to choose from.  If you are still unsure, it doesn’t hurt to send us an email and tell us about your situation or speak to a coach before you sign up for class.

When you do come in for class, please speak with the coach briefly before the start of class if you have a specific injury you’re working around.   Let them know as much info as possible so they can best assist you.  We encourage lots of dialogue between you and the coach throughout the workout as well.  Don’t be afraid to call them over and have them watch you do a movement.

Do you do Open Gym or is it just classes?

Yes, we offer Open Gym time slots that you can book into how you would a normal class.  There is a coach working during that time who can answer any questions you have or give you a sample workout if you don’t want to think of one yourself.  Many people will come to Open Gym and do the workout from that morning if they weren’t able to make the class.

What is Foundation Training and how can I sign up?

Foundation Training can relieve pain, prevent injuries and improve posture, stability and athletic performance.  You will learn how to decompress your spine, breathe to promote posture and access your fundamental hip hinge.  Linda Guanti teaches Foundation Training at Wild Life.  It is a separate membership fee from the WLG memberships.  Find more info here https://lindaguanti.com

Can I bring a friend for free to class?

Everyone with an auto-pay membership can bring one friend per month who hasn’t been to the gym before.  Please  contact us with your buddy’s full name, email address and phone number and which class you’re both hoping to attend, so we can create an account for them and sign them in!
